“Two Hours” that can have a lifelong impact

"Two Hours" that can have a lifelong impact

I don't regret what I've been through. I've had ups and downs, super highs and some really low lows. I've been so blessed that I could never say, 'I wish this didn't happen.' It's part of who I am. There's nothing in my life that's so ugh.

THE ONLY PERSON YOU
SHOULD TRY TO BE
BETTER THAN IS THE PERSON
YOU WERE YESTERDAY.

Almost every one of us have certain goals in our life that we have set for ourselves, whether it be shedding some extra pound, learning a new skill or something else. Chances are good that, at some time in your life, you've told yourself that “I cannot do it” or “It is pointless”. But seldom we realize that we have everything that it takes to be a better version of us and if we want we can achieve any goal that we set for ourselves.

Something similar happened to me, there was a phase in my life when it seemed that life is pointless and I was trapped in an endless cycle of work leading to huge amount of dis-satisfaction. This was the point in my life when I decided to turn my life around for good.

The goals I set for myself (at that time) seemed pretty unrealistic and little did I know that by keeping aside just two hours of my day for myself I could achieve something that I thought could never be achieved.

In those two hours I focused on myself, I got a gym membership and started working out on a regular basis. As far as i can remember this was a turning point in my life as if I had hit the restart button for my life. It's been five years since then and the effects are very visible, not only have I’ve been successful at a professional level but now i have a much better health and a sound body.

Here are a few tips that helped me to steal two hours from my already busy schedule

  • Organizing your habits: Try to indulge in good and healthy habits that will not only add to your health but will also help you to save time in the long run.
  • Streamlining your work: Prioritize your work according to their vitality to your business, this will result in you spending more time on more important agendas. And in effect will prevent you from wasting time on less important matters.
  • Systematic Lifestyle: Plan your social and personal interactions in such a manner that most of your time is utilized in productive conversations or experiences.
  • Well planned tasks: It always helps to plan out your day a night before, this nifty little practice will save you so much of time on a daily basis by preventing you from having to make decisions on the spot.
  • Minimizing Distractions Try to keep yourself away from distractions as much as possible, limit usage of your cellphone and social handles. These little things could save you a lot of time every day so that you can utilize them somewhere else.

To sum up you can achieve anything in the “Two Hours” that you skim out of your busy schedule. All you need is ample amount of motivation and dedication towards the goal you set for yourself! So go ahead and put your “Two Hours” to good use.

Spot on Rajeev I must confess that you are an inspiration for many and all the points that you mentioned above are absolutely correct.

There is two more things that differentiates the best from the rest and they are self-realisation and will power. In this time of social networking everyone can orchestrate his/her life the way he/she wants on the virtual platform and assume that they are living a dream and one can also find many good learning shared on the virtual world most people either ignore them, some read them and mentally tell themselves that this is a piece of crap there are only few who try to implement them. In order to implement good things in life you need to have self-realisation of what you are at present and let me tell you in these virtual times people prefer to turn a blind eye on what they are, and after realisation comes the most tough part and that is will power to change what you are to what you want to be.

You have both these qualities and that is commendable. Keep on inspiring others.

I would like to share one of most favourite quotes of mine:

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same…. You ‘ll be a Man, my son.
